What cards do u recommend?

Chase Sapphire is the best all around card.
I used to have the Reserve, but they were going to bump up the annual fee, so I downgraded to Preferred.
If you're going to travel primarily with one airline, then it might be best to also get an airline specific card.
Hotel points are so low value, I don't even bother chasing them. Maybe I will find a reason to at some point, but not really worth it, IMO.

Southwest was offering a free companion pass & 30K miles, if you spend $5K on the card. I've already book 10 free flights.

The Airline specific cards can be better if you want to dedicate yourself to that brand. You will still earn points if you buy tickets from another airline, but not as beneficial.

I like the JetBlue card because the mile conversion is WAY better than all the other cards. I get round trip tickets to NY all the time for 12-15k and those are 30k+ on my southwest or delta cards every single time
Plus free bags, 50% off food and drink and 6x points when you book a flight on the card

Chase Reserve or Amex Platinum are the best options. Chase probably has more flexibility at this point but Amex specific customer service is second to none.

Definitely Chase Sapphire. Reserve gets you 1.5x on UR (Ultimate Rewards) used towards travel.

The new Coinbase rewards card looks amazing. 4% cash back. I need to learn more about it before I switch.

Not really. It depends on the airport, the usage, the type of travel and the preferred airline. For example, a Chase card does zero for him if he flies American.
Personally I do Chase points and Amex points mostly but I always transfer them to partners and in the case of Amex when the partner is giving bonus miles for the redemption.

Amex MR points have a LOT of partners to transfer points to.

They do, I’m actually an Amex platinum holder. The Amex system can be kinda finicky though.
Their portal usually has higher prices, you get 5x points using their portal on hotels but you won’t get Marriot/Hilton upgrades unless you use their site (won’t get 5x points either). Amex’s portal is actually run through Expedia so if you book using it your reservation at the carrier will show Expedia.
The flight system is almost backwards from that too. But the perks are pretty sweet, especially getting lounge access.

Right. And Amex Platinum gets you + guests into the Centurion lounges. Something to consider if you do a lot of travel through most major US airports besides ATL & ORD.
