swinging at high pitches while the runners were stealing
So maybe it was a hit and run?

Calling a hit and run with a full count just doesn’t happen. He chased a fastball upstairs with 2 strikes all on his own.

It’s called a run and hit. In a 3-1 or 3-2 count against a guy like Milazzo you are more than likely getting a fastball. So you start the runners to stay out of the double play ball. If it’s a strike you swing if it’s a ball you take and walk. He swung at a ball and missed and then the runner got thrown out. It’s a call that didn’t work out but I get why he called it.

Nah, you don’t & can’t call a hit & run with 2 strikes

Was just a straight steal he happened to swing at

Ideally he either makes contact or walks. Terrible call with milazzo up because he isn’t good at either of those results
