Regarding the doping, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume that the top players who already have advantages in travel, coaching, training, etc, etc… also have access to (and can afford) the best doctors and doping methods.

Correct. Tennis is the most inequitable sport on the planet. Its a completely unlevel playing field, and doping is no different

So then how did they become top players?

I really do hope that my point here is clear, and that the silliness of a "top players are top players only because they are juicing" argument is jumping off the page.
