I saw someone the other day have LSU losing 2 games in 2021 with one of the two losses at UCLA.
Don't remember who.
Think what you will, but that trip and time difference might be a factor.
It is the first game of the year, so hopefully the distance won't be a factor, but going from Central to the west coast typically has some negative affects.

I would expect the team to fly out two+ days in advance so they can get their legs under them. They could practice out west and coaches use as recruiting tool.

Time differences usually have an effect when going from west to east when you lose a few hours. It shouldn't be a detriment to gain 2 hours going from east to west.

Plus UCLA will already have a game in their belt (play Hawaii the week before). Staying in Hollywood, 20 miles away - gonna be a nice day of Purple and Gold CA style.

That would be one weird season. I don’t see us losing to UCLA and beating Auburn/Florida/Aggy
