Maybe I'm the minority here (and apparently everywhere based on their lines at lunch), but Chick-fil-a is NOT good chicken to me. I'd almost rather have Zaxby's than CFA, and Zaxby's is nothing special other than their Zaxbys Club and hot honey mustard sauce.

I've had spicy chicken sandwiches at just about every fast food restaurant that exists, and Popeyes still has them all beat. The Cajun Flounder is actually really good too, best "fast food" fish sandwich around. The beignets are also good, so Popeyes gets the #1 overall in my view.

Have you ever had canes and/or it’s delicious sauce?

Popeye's did something with the Chicken Sammich I don't think people expected. They didn't focus on improving their typical competitive advantage of flavor and spice. They went and got the biggest chicken titties I've ever seen on fast food chicken sammiches. Hell Walk-Ons is the only real restaurant that makes bigger chicken sammiches.

I'll admit I can tell it's over-brined as frick like Chick-Fil-A. But for fast food it's way above the rest.
The Popeye's Chicken Sammich is the best fast food item ever.
