You know what's funny? I just had a discussion about this with friends.
This country is very diverse with people of different backgrounds, ethnicity, etc working together daily with no issues.
The media puts the message of the vocal minority out there as if they represent everyone. They don't. Most Americans, black, white, whatever are tired of this divisive crap that the media keeps churning out.

Exactly this. In these days of social media and the 24 hour news cycle, the media amplifies the voices of the craziest on both sides for ratings and clicks.
