Steak sampler/meat sweats Wednesday

Buddy texted me Sunday and said after seeing the ribeyes I posted on my Instagram he wanted to do some. Went through the freezer and only thing I didn’t have was a prime ribeye, just an all grass fed from Crowd Cow. Grabbed a prime ribeye from Alexander’s and added it to a Hassell porterhouse, Porter Road Tri-tip and Kansas City strip. Also grilled some cheesy chicken sausage from Gonzo’s Smokehouse I got on Sunday.

Made some Parmesan new potatoes and red beans and rice with some Andouille from Gonzo’s. I used to be a die hard ribeye guy, but I really enjoyed the Kansas City strip and a porterhouse speaks for itself. Using the Tri-tip for tacos.

He is, I think next week he’s actually opening up Friday and Saturday though. Cuban sandwiches on Friday which are pretty darn good. I’ll probabtmake the drive from Brusly just for that.

So how did you get the sausage on Sunday? Or are you personal friend? I have been wanting to make the trip.

Friends, he happened to be my neck of the woods. It’s worth the trip, I’d say my favorites are his Cubans and pork belly burnt ends. I thought the new chicken sausage was really good. His corn grits are probably my favorite side that he does.
