I had an Ariens residential 60" zero turn that I bought in 2004. I mowed 4 acres for 11 years and the only thing I had to do to it besides routine maintenance was change the deck belt one time. I moved to a smaller place so I sold the mower. I paid around 5k new.

With 5 acres buy the largest deck you can afford. Just look for a welded deck and kawasaki/Kohler engine.
