My guess is that the point he is making is that the right is doing the same thing the left is, ie, letting these talking heads form their worldview without seeking out opinions and reporting that are less dependent on outrage and tribalism.
Twitter is a cesspool, but it’s useful for me because I have curated a follow list that gives me a spectrum of view points from people I consider to be well-informed and posting in good faith.

It's just that the conservative talking heads have no teeth; they hold the line but nothing ever comes from their reporting. Nothing. They even cower a few times when it fits the bill.
