I have never and will never do a pre em in the summer. Late fall and late winter and then early spring for me.

Same here. All the publications advise to do a round in late spring, but here's the issue with that. If you lay down sod and/or overseed, the pre em actually works against that preventing new growth. And it's good for about 3 months. So the best thing to do is lay it down in February, which gives you Feb, March, Apr for the pre em to do its thing. And most of us overseed and/or lay down new sod starting in May. So that way, the pre em isn't affecting that. Learned that little tip from Doc on YouTube.

Do we? Am I missing the boat on something? Should I be tossing down Zoysia seed every spring?
