Am I the only one who would have Bug’s Life in the top 6-7? That film just doesn’t get a lot of respect.
Nope, I have it at 8 but like I said, beyond my top few, the rest are sort of interchangeable. So I could easily have ABL at 4 or 5 for myself. I've always loved that movie and think it's pretty underrated. IMO it lives in the shadows of the first two Toy Stories, which bookended ABL, and then Pixar found its groove and was shitting out greta movies left and right (Monsters, Nemo, and Incredibles all in a row). So ABL is sort of a forgotten film by many.
But it's great though, and has always been one of my favorites for whatever reason. Hopper is a great villain, and the lesson in the end when they learn that they have the numbers is just great (and one that the USA could stand to re-learn at some point IMO).
Plus, it's just a gorgeous movie. I say that about most Pixar movies obviously, but I remember being amazed at the animation in ABL when it first came out. It was incredible.
