I thought the issue was that Google wants Roku to basically wave all user privacy rights in order to have the YouTube TV app? And, Roku is "trying" to protect their users' data and privacy? Why are all of you excited about Google winning this battle?

I'm more pointing out the hypocrisy being displayed by Google. I'm not excited at all. None of them give a shite about data they just want to create a monopoly. frick Google and frick Apple. Im actually more on Roku's side, but I know they are no better.

No chance that is 100% true. Otherwise Roku would not have pulled the current app from their platform. Google gets hurt more because people will cancel YouTube TV.

If it's like the HBO max issue with Roku, they want a cut of the monthly subscription. They won't allow apps on their ecosystem without a cut.

I'm sure that privacy concerns might be part of it. But the reason the app is gone is because of money... It always is
