Just getting a head start on the inevitable federal prison sentence that seems to follow most Atlanta mayors after they leave office. Good riddance to bad rubbish, although I'm sure the next mayor will be a vast improvement. /sarc

Its because of demographics and the ATL metro area exploding with migration from the yankee north and the rurals are maxed out for the GOP.
Georgia right now is where Virginia was a decade ago.
A state swings only because its population wants it to swing, not because of some politicians.

But Georgia and Arizona are now blue as Iowa and Ohio are firmly red
But that doesn't bode well electorally for any GOP candidate.
Not sure how Desantis in 2024 or any gop candidate will win. Especially with Dem Governors in the blue wall states like WI, MI, PA they will make sure those states remain blue.

Atlanta metro wasn't purple it was dark fricking blue. Upper class whites are voting Dem in droves. Their isn't a single suburb surrounding Atlanta that is purple it's all blue.

Doug Collins wasn't MTG and you wanted Loeffler over him. That same sentiment was seen amount other GOP voters which gave us Warnock.

And Doug Collins called it quits and is refusing to run against Warnock or for anything at all in 2022, even with no other republican of note announcing. What does that tell you?
Kelly Loeffler should've had and deserved the opportunity to prove herself as an incumbent senator but Doug Collins thought it was good idea to force everyone to run a year long primary campaign all the way to the general election in November.
It got to the point where Kelly was bear hugging MTG to protect her right flank against Collins and only god knows what damage that did in November.
