For a fullback in college he had a pretty good career at Penn State. He rushed for close to 2000 yards while there, the downside was that Penn State had Lydell Mitchell in the backfield too. Since most on this board probably were not alive in the mid 70's Lydell Mitchell was electric with the Colts. But in college he was almost other worldly for the era.

Franco though was the man for the Steelers. If you needed a clutch play, Franco was the man....also just a great human being.
