His on field production. Figured he could go somewhere along the likes of ULL or LaTech and start immediately, get a full year starting under his belt, and then transfer to a bigger Power 5 school

While I don't know that he would start immediately anywhere in the SEC, he could become a starter. He got us 2 Ws and had some freshman struggles as well, but our O-line, running game and receiving were not that great last year. He definitely got valuable experience as a true freshman and clearly has a very good arm. It's the pocket presence and progressions that he has to work on, but he is physically talented enough.

Will never be on a big stage again. Competition from equally good QB’s at other programs will put him in the same position.

I didn't think another SEC program would entertain brining him in.
Why?

He was 18. Mistakes are not only acceptable, but expected.

You assume he wants to start and that the reason he left was that he wasn't #1. I think its because he wasn't #2. He is still talented enough for P5 schools.

This would waste his free year of eligibility and possibly cast him as a quitter. Much like Tathan Martell

He would have to sit out a year behind Levi Lewis before he got a chance to start at UL

You can only transfer once without having to sit out a year. The second time you have to sit for a year.
