I hope so the reasons that the report is given is because of all the damage around the area and the power issues not because of the damage to the stadium itself because it can be fixed temporarily for a game

I would imagine that we won't know a definite until we see what Ike does. That one looks like Andrew all over again.

LSU restored power last night to all of campus... this was the first big step. Its gonna take a hell of a clean up job, but i think we play in TS next saturday.

Go bury your head in the sand.

Seriously, a hurricane sitting around Cat 4 out in the Atlantic that's headed straight for the southern tip of Florida should bring back some very bad memories. I lived in S. La. when Andrew hit and know it does for me.

Are you people seriously this stupid? All I commented on was that the hurricane is large, is headed on a similar path to Andrew, has nothing to slow it down other than the southern tip of Florida and will make landfall next week. IF it goes into the gulf and IF it takes a path similar to what hurricanes normally take then it COULD effect the game next weekend. Seriously, is this so damned hard to comprehend?

Great job. Why don't you post Hurricane Andrew's path since you are such a smart guy. It also formed very early. It also had a very similar path to what the latest projections are for Ike. Is this set in stone? No. Could it happen? Yes.

There might be monsters under your bed too, but I wouldn't waste time worrying about it. There are about 100 things that can change so as to redirect and/or downgrade this storm. Quit biting your fingernails and conjuring up doomsday scenarios when they don't exist.

At some point, I would think LSU needs to look at playing in Dallas.

It could be a great recruiting tool.

Good post jm - I've noted the same chart myself. However, this morning, the track has turned a little further West - in fact the GFDL has it moving into the Gulf.

Simple solution to playing at Tiger Stadium even this weekend.
Day game.
If you come to the game you gotta put one limb in a neat pile on the street! Campus cleaned! Even better if you have a pickup you have to bring a load home! 92,000 limbs gone! And dont show up with out enough gas to get your arse home again. Lets play ball.
Its not what LSU can do for you It's what you can do for LSU.
