If true, that troubles me about Scalise. I guess taking a bullet from a Bernie extremist didn't show him the light about the left and their motivations.

Bernie Bro taking a shot at him - unfortunate.

Trump tweeting mean things - irredeemable

Maybe that bullet was a message and — as the saying goes — he took it to heart?

Totally Random & Unrelated Fun Fact # 1: In the first year of his Presidency, Reagan promised to set up a commission headed by Ron Paul to study a return of the Gold Standard.

Totally Random & Unrelated Fun Fact # 2: John Hinckley’s parents were old family friends of Poppy and Barbara Bush. The Hinckley family were in the energy exploration business and had contributed to the Bush family’s election campaigns for various political offices.

Same here, but He may have been taking the high-road (something the Dems are incapable of) and extending an olive branch. And we're all assuming he had a choice between the inaugural and the farewell address. Did he? What have other LA resps done in the past? Do we all know what his itinerary was that day?

"Class" is a hard thing to understand. Sometimes, it involves doing uncomfortable things. I give him the benefit of the doubt until we can replay that entire day and be a fly on the wall.
