Over the course of Payton’s tenure with the Saints, they have been mediocre at drafting compared to most of the league.
Games played and money earned of players drafted by the Saints since ‘06 would beg to differ

After the first draft by Payton (incredible)
The Saints were some of the worst in the league at drafting
On top of that...
We were the worst at free agency...
Do I have to remind y’all of some of the names?
Browner
Byrd
The CB from the colts
Etc
Etc
Trading up for busts
Thank god for Jeff Ireland
