Thanks y’all - super helpful. Was eyeing down the generac mentioned above and was feeling like it was best in class outside of the Honda. Thinking I’ll go that route. I’m still too cheap for the Honda at this stage!

I back fed my whole home for 41 days after Laura with a generac 6500 from Home Depot. The only time I shut it off in that 41 days was to change the oil every two days and had it back running in ten minutes. We powered everything we wanted without thinking twice about being conservative at all, including our 2.5 ton central ac unit. The only thing we didn’t run was the stove and the dryer. Every evening I would shut off the ac and run the water heater for 30 minutes so we could all take showers. It would noticeably bog down the generator but nothing else we did would even bother that thing.
