Please tell me you’re not arguing because he yelled directly after he shot him it’s not racist because he didn’t yell it during the blast?

Wait a second...... why did they shoot him at all????? I hate to tell you this but they took the law into their own hands..... and with him being black doesn’t help their situation......

I’ve never seen anything other than second hand sources and “allegedly” that says he called him a racial slur. I’ll stand corrected if that’s entered as actual evidence.
I think that these guys deserve jail most likely and thought Chauvin was guilty (but definitely guilty of) manslaughter at most.
Bringing up an “alleged” comment or making all the riots about George Floyd’s race when it didn’t have anything to do with that just exacerbates the situation unjustly.

No - I’m not arguing that. I’m wondering why these guys are being charged with a hate crime and there are so many cases that haven’t been (although Georgia’s hate crime law is pretty new)
I don’t know if the shooter and his associates were racist - are they being slapped with a hate crime bc of something they said or because of their color of skin. Did the shooter intend to kill Arbery bc he was black? What all three of those men did was wrong - and Arbery shouldn’t have been shot - but is the hate crime charge just a symbol?
The guy that shot up the Asian massage parlors said his killings were not racially motivated - he said he had a sex addiction.
