I wonder what the permit requirements are to open a truck stop with a 24 hour strip club like the Gainesville has. That would be a good investment especially if the truck stop is nice and clean.

Would be wildly popular too!

BTW the name of that place is Cafe Risque'. Been there exit 374 off i75

I have never stopped there. I have just seen the signs when I was driving to Miami.

Putting a hooters in a mega truck stop would probably make money too. I'm going to call some of my fraternity brothers who are now in the commercial real estate business and run the idea past them. I may even consider giving the OT truckers a TD discount.

If I had the money, I'd open up a giant travel center with at least 25 gas pumps up front, 15 diesel truck pumps out back, tire repair center, a truck wash, a full service local restaurant, and a giant parking area with lighting and security. Then I'd try to nab a national chain fast food restaurant (Whataburger) for an adjacent outparcel. Somewhere in the LA415/I-10 area or out towards Livingston along I-12.

At that point all I'd really have to do is to keep the place clean and safe. Maybe then move on to develop adjacent parcels into distribution centers for spec.

Bonus points if I can run a video poker outfit in the back of the restaurant.
