TJ has too far to go. He simply cannot throw with touch.
I think TJ is in the toughest position of the 4 QBs because he came here the most raw. That said, you are picking on the wrong problem. He had big issues with touch in games last year, but he had several good underneath throws today where he showed a lot of improvement on his touch.
The problem that remains is that he is still highly inconsistent with accuracy and he still makes some poor reads. We saw that with a few off target throws and his pick today.
As for the poster above claiming there is some kind of agenda, the majority of us don’t have one. I would love to see TJ stay here and try to develop, but he’s facing a really uphill battle. Max is the same age and has similar talent and more polish today. Nuss needs to learn, but he is more athletic, has a good arm and made some great throws today (but also some poor ones). Then you have Walker Howard coming in, who is an even bigger prospect than Nuss.
I don’t want TJ to leave, but I can’t blame him if he does. There will be a number of programs in G5 and FBS where he can walk in the door and start day one. Then he would have years to develop on the field. He just doesn’t have a great shot at that here. That’s no knock on him. It’s just the reality of the situation.

I disagree.
His problem, IMO, is reading the defense when under pressure. He needs to calm down and throw it out of bounds when there is no open receiver.
He throws beautiful accurate passes, when not under pressure.
