quote:Absolutely. I think she would accept less than what she's making at Baylor to return to Louisiana and coach at LSU, plus the challenge of returning the program to greatness is there.
Maybe Mulkey wants to come home and would take less money. It’s not like she should be hurting for money anyway.
It wouldn't take very long at all to get it turned around.
It just all depends if Scotty wants to to do the sane thing or play SJW Woke Politics and make another PC hire.
And here's a big FU to all the "Nobody cares about women's Basketball" simpletons who only care about football, basketball and baseball.
If you love LSU and have actually stepped foot in an LSU classroom, you desire for ALL the programs to be ranked in the Top 10/20.
If LSU had a National Power program, consistently in the Top 10 and winning Championships, LSU fans WOULD care and attend games. (See Gymnastics)
Mulkey would be the only sure fire coach that would provide that.
LSU could/should return to the Jinks Coleman/Sue Gunter days of "Double Headers" with the Men's team.
Here comes the "Will & Kim Show."
It's a No Brainer to me and many other LSU fans, but SJWSW may try to play Woke Politics with the hire and sentence LSU to another 5 years or so of rank mediocrity in women's basketball.
Just do it Scott. Get her in here, pay her what she wants and be done with it..........

Yea, that sounds exactly like the people saying bo pelini was gonna take a reduced buyout because he recognized how much he didn’t deserve that salary

Once again, gymnastics is still a money pit. Tickets to gymnastics meets are very cheap, if not free.

Again, the question is: do we pay huge salaries for coaches in money-losing sports?
Why not pay $10 million for every head coach in every sport, so we're virtually guaranteed to get the best coach in the country? We won't do that? Why not?
Because the price always has to be considered. Any dollar spent is a dollar that can't be spent elsewhere.
Finite resources, so it's all about allocation.
