Don’t expect much out of him but having his experience on the bench can only help. With so many in the portal, I hope we make a bigger impact than Pinson before we’re done. We need an impact scorer.

Pinson was 15th in the SEC in points per game, so this is a decent pickup for a team losing nearly all of it's scoring power. He might not be a superstar transfer, but he is experienced and can score. His scoring will likely be needed while our younger players get some more experience early in the season.
Gaines, who has a lot of potential with his athleticism, figures to be a big part of the team next year and he shot just 22% from the field and 17% from 3. Vinson's 2-point % is on the low side, but he is about average for 3-point % and he obviously has much better shooting percentages at the moment than Gaines (though I expect Cook to be the bigger scoring threat next year from all over the court).
