Does anyone remember the story of the rapist that would convince women over the phone he was their BF or husband and get them to leave the door open and get into bed with a blindfold on? I don't remember how it turned out but I was always dubious of it you figure at least one of the women would notice a unit size difference.

Found it...he in jail...or out he got 15 years in 1996

A man has been convicted of rape by fraud after two women described how he duped them into disrobing and agreeing to blindfolded sex.

The women testified Thursday that they thought the man was their lover.

The man, Raymond Mitchell III _ who has become known as "Fantasy Man" _ faces up to 30 years in prison for two counts of rape by fraud and one count of attempted rape by fraud. He will be sentenced March 14.

Police believe Mitchell, 45, has called hundreds of women over the years. Most hung up. But of the 30 women who reported encounters to police, eight said they had sex with him.

Each encounter began with a phone call to the sleeping women. Whispering softly, he persuaded them he was their boyfriend, then asked them to fulfill his fantasy of having sex with a blindfolded woman. One woman said she had sex with Fantasy Man twice a week over two months in 1992.

Charges were brought in the cases of two women _ a 27-year-old X-ray technician who said she had oral sex and intercourse with Mitchell, and a 29-year-old flight attendant who said she peeked past her blindfold and saw him masturbating outside her motel window. The two women gasped, then sobbed quietly when the verdict was announced.
