LSU vs Tulane 1972, my brother got tickets from his Cub Scout Leader(Former Green Wave Player), I cursed the entire game.

I was there, and though it got tense of the final play when Russell Huber got tackled inside the one on a pass from Foley, it was entertaining. And I believe Juan Roca kicked a then-record 53 yarder in that game; I believe that may have been the longest FG in LSU history before Cade York's late game heroics v. Florida.
9-3 LSU. Not a huge victory, but still a win. And it seemed like Tulane made up a majority of fans in the stands that night.
