What we are being told is that some people must be treated differently because of their race. This has already become government policy through affirmative action and racial preferences in hiring and educational opportunities. It would be natural to extend that same special treatment to discipline and criminal issues. While the old Jim Crow ways were wrong, this is a path that will only lead to more anger and resentment. The rules need to be the same for all of us.
