I mean, he better be confident. Something’s not adding up. No one has asked why this guy is so fricked up now? No one in his dorm, his roommate, or his teachers aren’t asking questions? No one at the DM has gotten a whiff of this? Surely to God there would be some Pikes with moral character who would resign over this and go forward with the idiot who poured bleach down that pledge’s throat. This is the worst allegation I’ve ever heard from a fraternity, even worse than the Penn State fiasco where a pledge fell down the stairs and then basically later bled out in the chapter room. If they didn’t do this, he should prepare himself for the lawsuit over this, and if they did, multiple people are going to prison for this.

Idk about the journalist's reputation, but a note in the story says the kid and the mom don't have the same last name so "Yerger" was used in its place. Could be why he's not coming up in any searches

If it's a hoax, it's an elaborate one. He spoke to the mother. He saw a police report. He saw emails between the mother and various other parties.
Why would someone go to all that trouble to slander some fraternity boys? That doesn't make sense. The hoax would then become way bigger of a story than the hazing incident. Kingfish doesn't let himself get duped. He scooped the media on this and broke the story.
