People have no idea how corrupt juvenile justice is across the country. You usually don't even get any real time for car thefts. Probation and a date with a judge. Murder or manslaughter is a little more serious, but it is a rare case where someone gets sentenced to adult time, especially under 16 years of age.
Those girls are going to get written up for violations hundreds of times during their juvenile tenure, as well. Won't make any difference. They'll get out "on time" and proceed to a life of crime within a month.
