Active duty now. Been in 13 years, made chief, now selected as an officer. Don’t regret it although it’s definitely getting softer. Every time I’ve re-enlisted I thought I was going to get out, but at some point I decided that my whole goal was to be the type of leader I always wanted and try to make the Navy better than it would otherwise be for my people.
