As most have said already, I loved it and would not trade my experiences for the world. It has benefited me as a man and created opportunities for my family. My brothers in arms are lifelong friends and family. I served in 3/75 & 1/75 Ranger batts and it’s an absolute adrenaline rush and balls to the wall every day. Definitely gave me drive, determination, critical thinking under pressure, and judgment skill. I have two boys and would not recommend they join this day and age. Best friend is still in and always reminds me I probably would be kicked out by now or demoted to an E2 or something for voicing opinions in the trans military.

I wish that I would have joined the Air Force but I was an emotional mess just trying to get through HS. I believe that I would have had grown up a lot quicker had I enlisted in the military.
