I haven't read every response, but I do not regret it at all. 4.5 years here, Marines, artillery. It truly does set you up for the rest of your life between work ethic and ability to deal with bullshite. You would come out laughing internally about what other people stress about (IE, finals).

I got out in 2016, when SEPS & TAPS had become a requirement for EAS. You join knowing about the GI Bill, likely not thinking about the home loan guarantor, but you sit through one day of that class and just think "wait, I'm eligible for what?"

29 now, with a wife and two boys who I would absolutely not have been able to support the way I can without the time in the Marines.

Plus, while you learn to embrace the suck, you make some of the best friends you will ever make. Can go years without talking to them, but see/talk to them and it's literally like you just had your last bender till 3AM with PT at 5AM yesterday.
