One spring, some years ago, we were were going to be filling a pit on the farm that had been used as a family dump by the previous owner families for years. The wife and I found some really neat antique glass bottles and cast iron toys. Those vines that I was clawing out of the way with my bare hands were poison ivy and she knew that I was going to die. Went to the gas barrels and washed down good afterward and then with laundry detergent. Some slight swelling in some areas but that was probably from the tugging and pulling in getting the veins out of the way.
