My training/memory is 20 years old so hopefully still accurate, but I am referring to the last step in the picture on the first page of this post. Compared to the C130, the last step of the C17 seemed to be slightly outside the silhouette of the plane. This was discussed among the paratroopers and was something the Sr. Jumpmasters tried to prepare us for beforehand. The experience I recall was not feeling the wind draft for a split second longer out of the C17 compared to the C130.
