Anyone ever pull an upper abdominal?

Not an oblique, but the abdominal closest to the bottom of the ribcage. I can't even rotate my torso (or sneeze) without serious pain right now.

What did you do for it?

Rest and ice is the only option.

If you keep playing, you WILL learn bad swing habits to compensate.

Low blood flow area. Tens and other PT type therapies are going to help you get better the quickest. You need to get blood into the area. If you completely rest it, it'll eventually get better, but it's going to take a long time.

My dog has a Tens unit... I wonder if I can use it... I can't imagine why not.

Nope but I've stressed cartilage in my ribcage before. took about 3-4 years to recover from. But like another poster said, blood flow is crucial and aint no blood flow in cartilage.


My PT gave me a steroid pack that actually helped a good bit. Just didnt want to keep me on them. You may have same success with that.
