We had some bear signs all fall and early winter, until the snows got really deep in the valleys. A guy in Haines was mauled.

Spring growth is showing up through the snow, so it's only a matter of time until the rest show up.

I still have a couple feet of snow on the ground at my place which is unusual for JNU at this time. I figure in a couple of weeks we will be inundated.
