Slightly drunk. Watched Burrow's Heisman speech again.

When he addresses Coach O, that is the single greatest recruiting tool ever given to a coach.

The genuine emotions he had for O is something I haven't seen from any other Heisman winner when thanking their coach.

That moment right there will win over any parents or guardians who are worried about handing their son to LSU and our Coach over another coach and school.

Call me optimistic, but I believe we have a very bright future ahead for LSU football.

Well, he lost a lot of the great momentum he gained with that season (and the heisman) with the way last season panned out. If these hires prove to be great, I believe he can get it back quickly though. Nobody has ever doubted O's abilities as a recruiter.

i like to view it as in the last few games, he played a bunch of inexperienced younger classmen and even though theyy lost or struggled with most, they showed fight and promise.

And they proved with the Florida game that they could win at this level. Forget the shoe throw as a factor. The fact that they were in a position to capitalize on that is the most important fact.

They got destroyed by Alabama. But I wouldn't say they got humiliated by them. Yes, the score was bad. But for the first half, that young LSU team fought. Against an older and more expierenced Bama NC team.

O is going to win another NC with this group of players.

I share your optimism. The program has felt different since O took over. More dynamic, less conservative and development focused. 2019 was a culmination of a lot of work and there should be similar good years ahead.

^this. Miles was never going to hammer his way to another title.

Orgeron changed the M.O.

It’s REALLY REALLY hard to say that he will win one again. It’s the top of college football and that’s a hard thing to accomplish.

Just look at the map.

But Orgeron is in a better position to bring a second than miles was.

That doesn’t look like an easy thing to do. Not everyone does it.

That map is interesting. How about Minnesota up there with 4? And Georgia with just 1 is still a headscratcher.

Only reason to not be optimistic is the damn FBI snooping around like a bunch of rats in BR.

O's obvious influence on Dwayne Johnson and appearance in Young Rock isn't hurting recruiting either. The only Miami coach the show even refers to is Coach O.

would probably help if he didn't divorce his wife, not interview Bo, and started smashing a 30 year old the summer after the divorce

Burrow has started a dynasty at LSU. Last year we were young and it was a wash because of COVID, we will be young this year but I’m glad we have arguably the best coach in the SEC, Coach O, leading us to another national championship.
