As I said yesterday, from all accounts, Max is taking the starter role and running with it. He’s continuously improving each week. The concern some have though, is if it continues to look like Max will be the starter through the summer into training camp, Brennan will almost certainly transfer. TJ may walk too. If that happens Nuss is your guy if Max goes down.
Good news - Nuss has looked really good so far this spring.
Bad news - he’s an inexperienced freshman.

Can we please bitch more about Paul without these legitimate football questions?

I’m glad max is improving. I would be shocked if he beats Brennan out.

Which program has more than two potential starters on their team?
It takes a fan desperately looking for a black cloud to worry about our QB situation.

Why? You could argue that we’ve seen Max play better than we’ve ever seen MB play. Why would anyone be shocked?

I was at the scrimmage yesterday there is no doubt whatsoever who the alpha dog is on that field. Brennan threw several td passes during 7on7 drills. No one else did. Brennan continuously moved the chains in the third down situational drills. No one else did like he did. Brennan drove the field and threw 2 td passes during the live scrimmage. No one else did until the final drive where Johnson threw up a prayer that was actually intercepted in the end zone but the ball was stripped and recovered by the receiver. I know it is just one practice but if it is any indication of what’s to come don’t count Brennan just yet. And he looks completely healthy.

Relax, there won't be an announcement of who wins the QB competition until the final week going into the first game of the season.

Bc people have a confirmation bias. Everyone wanted Brennan to get his due(I was one of them), he put up good passing numbers, and most just latched on to that and ignored every other aspect of the game besides passing, including winning!
As O said, “only one QB is 2-0”! He’ll be out starter!

But this is LSU. As fans we have to choose our guy NOW and shite talk the other guy hoping that if he starts we lose every game. It’s the LSU fan way.

LSU lost those games because their defense was completely terrible. Myles struggled in the first half of the first game then played great. Johnson also looked good especially for a true freshman. But in my humble opinion, Myles looked better. With that said. I’m fine with Johnson starting if he wins the job. No point in arguing now.

We can always bring in another QB as a backup.

If the 2020 season taught us anything it’s that everyone gets their shot regardless of who starts. If I’m a backup, I wait it out.

Not only is this false from “ all accounts” it’s false from “ any accounts.”

GTFOH with this bullshite.

There is no serious observer of LSU football who doesn’t believe Brennan will be the starting QB.

It’s comical to think otherwise.

Max is taking first team reps and doing well. Could he be taking those just as a way for Orgeron to try and push Brennan harder? Idk maybe so. But he is 100% getting first team reps currently.

Neither. It’s a concern of people in and around the team.
