A few years ago, my girlfriend and I went to a USWNT Soccer Game vs. some other country... I can't remember who they played. It took place in the Superdome, and it was one of the warm-up games for the world cup.

Anyway, when we got there, they only seated fans on one side of the lower section of the stadium which was pretty well filled up. I thought this was kinda crappy because the women are kinda hard to see from my 40th-row seats and that left a ton of really good seats unavailable on the other side and the goal lines.

Then I remembered it was also televised... Packing everyone into one side of the stadium made it look on tv that there was a full stadium.

They have to do this at pretty much every one of their games. That's another reason why Rapinoe's little crusade is so disingenuous and laughable.

The team sees they play in front of near empty stadiums most of the time. They know they get almost zero media attention outside the WC or Olympics. Deep down they understand why they don't get paid as much as the men, so victimhood will pay better.
