People need to lower expectations for one, going from a HOF QB to anyone else.
Instead of comparing NOLA Brees to Winston, people should be comparing SD Brees to Winston. The Winston we got is arguably better than the SD Brees we got after his time in SD. Not suggesting that means Winston will end up being a HOF QB like Drew, but nothing to suggest he couldn't be our legit starting QB

In a sense they do. But people also forget that Brees did not provide us with HOF level play the past two years. So in another sense, we are used to that. I think Jameis can be better than 2019-2020 Brees. Not saying he will, but it's possible for sure
