That’s why I always hated baseball as a left hander. Being too damn athletic to just be standing on first base for something I have no control over.
Better pitchers, better finishers in basketball, better tennis players, better boxers.

What about the advantages of being a lefty over right handed players? Throw mid 80s with some control, you are a college baseball player. You also have first base, plus 3 OF positions. Forgive me for not feeling sorry for lefties.

One of my sons was a left handed SS as a yute when our starting SS was injured. He did play 1B and all outfield positions and pitch. The disadvantage was the shifting of the feet necessary to square up for a throw.
