I am glad we are not overpaying for him.
Was average until contract year and is not going to be worth the 15 mil. Per year he will get.

I wouldn’t pay $15 mil for him either but I would pay $10 million. He’s been a solid rotation piece up to this year when he broke out. It’s no coincidence the year he broke out is the year he went from getting pushed around at 260 to being able to hold his ground better at around 275. He’s going to be a good player for whoever gets him and if he plays 75% to what he did in 2020 then $15 mil per is a steal.
