I used to have the same feelings. I thought I was in complete control of myself, but I wasn't even close.
I have been seeing a psychiatrist and a therapist for a few years now. I still have stints of depression that just come on, usually due to stress, but I have made a huge leap in understanding my mental issues and in my relationships, all due to seeking PROFESSIONAL help, not TDOT help.
