After the 2018 election, most here said CA would never gain back seats in the House. During 2020, the GOP took back several seats and came very close to flipping the House.
The lesson is that candidates and campaigns matter. The GOP fielded poor candidates in several senate campaigns during 2020, and even then many races were close. The GOP needs to offer strong choices and they will win.

This is true to a point . John James is a better candidate then most republicans in senate. If republicans want to win they need more outsiders that will fight for the voters. The party needs to push people like Rubio out for some fresh blood.
