how big of a pot would I need?
You need a 20 gallon pot for optimal growth. Do yourself a favor and just order one of the sturdy black ZenHydro nursery pots and drill extra drainage holes in the bottom. Do not even bother with a flimsy home depot pot. It will chip and break when you try to move it.
