At the end of the day you're guess (or hypothesis) is as good as anyone else's. But to the particular point of the possibility of suburban Republicans being turned against Trump: How does one reconcile the fact that he increased his 2016 overall vote total by 12+ million in 2020, yet somehow "hemorrhaged" as they say such a consequential number of those suburban voters? What could possibly be the demographic makeup of that 12+ million increase when such a prominent category of active voters (suburbans) decreased? What's the makeup of that 12+ million??
