I won’t argue the movie is in good taste, but the summaries I’ve read indicate that the reaction in the movie is exactly how normal people Would react. They are all extremely uncomfortable and the kid ends up having an emotional breakdown during the dance routine.
The point being the movie isn’t promoting over sexualizing children. It’s warning against it. And it’s hard to make a movie about the over sexualization of children without depicting the over sexualization of children.
But saying it’s promoting pedophelia is like saying Shindoer’s List is promoting anti Semitism because it happens in the movie.
