4-6 are just killing me lately. Can’t seem to get it corrected. Lots of weak blocked shots and bad contact.

Besides extra emphasis on more 50/50 weight in feet, slightly more upward swing and real focus on coming inside, how else do you guys think about longer irons?

For me, a lot on the range.

Slowed it down trying to hit it 100 yards. Then 120 and so on till it came back. I got way over the top back to draws now.

A 4 is a long iron, 5 and 6 are mid irons. Dont hit up on them

I take the same swing with all the irons, but my expectations are lower the longer the iron.

Do push-ups and learn to drive the ball longer

I average 350 off the tee. So long irons are only for punching out should I miss fairway

Another solution would be to play from the old man tees

She handles the long iron well in my experience, maybe you should ask her for advice?

Start with checking your ball position, having the correct ball position is a big key to good contact with those clubs. I had similar struggles and it was due to playing all my irons with the same ball position. Once I moved the ball a little forward as the irons got longer, my contact greatly improved.

I was joking.

I have hit 350 yard drives before though. Usually with help from a couple lucky cart path bounces
