Duke, and that’s an easy one for me to answer. Watching us capitalize on one shot to knock off a blue blood was incredible.

Speaking of which, has anyone been able to find the full Iona and A&M games from that tournament? I feel like I’ve searched everywhere but no results. It’d be fun to watch those games again knowing what was to come later in the tournament.

I was in Austin, had lived there through my high school years, and was watching the elite 8 game with several HS friends who were gung ho UT.

Needless to say, that one. That game. No question. Glorious.

Was in Dallas for the final four in 86 and remember a Kansas dude with no shirt on with DUKE MAKES ME PUKE painted on his chest/stomach. Told him to patent that shite cuz it’s awesome. So of course it’s Duke.

Also the win in 86 was definitely Kentucky. Beating Kentucky in hoops is like beating Bama in football, doesn’t get much better than those feelings baw

Beating Texas for me just because it was the game that actually got us in the Final Four.

I was alive in 1986, but I was too young too remember anything about it. Getting to the Final Four seemed like a pipe dream.

UT had a great team, and the fact that we beat them in OT to win the South Regional was really special.

A&M buzzer beater was incredible I remember thinking “Great our prize for winning is going to play an unbeatable Duke team”
