There was only one problem: He had absolutely no idea how to write a comic book. Didn’t know what word-processing program to use, didn’t know how to describe what the artist should draw, none of it.

This pisses me off more than anything else. If you can't transition from writing a screenplay to writing a comic book (two visual mediums), you're either lying or a terrible writer.
